This purpose-built module reads the digital pulse signal from a traditional EGR fault lamp and decodes the error. It then broadcasts the matching fault as a CAN 2.0B SAE J1939 DM1 message, which any standard J1939 ECU, display or telematics unit can pick up. The baud rate is set to match the engine.
